Aeviterna Lite is the smallest configuration that is really the framework rather than a taste of it. Three load-bearing mechanisms, priced from the record and sized so a cooperative, a team, or a board can adopt them in a single meeting: a sunset on every role, a quarterly review of three vital signs, and an exit written before anyone needs it. It sits between the Starter Kit's first moves and the Model Charter's full constitution.
What Aeviterna Lite is.
The framework prices an on-ramp of widening commitment, and Lite is its first priced rung. It is the minimum viable subset the Governance Overhead (EQ–02f) names, three mechanisms drawn from the organs that do the most work for the least cost.
Below Lite is the Starter Kit, moves an individual or a handful of people can make this week. Above it is the Model Charter, the full constitution with its ten articles. Lite is the line where a group stops sampling the framework and starts running it. It is deliberately small, and it is deliberately real. A group that adopts all three mechanisms is holding the framework's floor, not rehearsing it.
Three, and only three.
Each mechanism is one organ of the framework reduced to its smallest load-bearing form. Together they are the reflexes a group needs before anything else.
A sunset on every role
Every role and seat carries a term and an end date, with staggered rotation so knowledge does not walk out all at once. Authority lapses unless it is affirmatively renewed in a review where non-renewal is a real option. This is the standing engine (EQ–05) at its smallest, the one mechanism that keeps a founder, a treasurer, or a committee from quietly becoming permanent. Run it with the Sunset Calendar.
A quarterly three-sign review
Pick three measures the group can actually read about itself, and watch them as bands to hold rather than numbers to maximize. Read them every quarter. The weakest sign is the reading, because a group is only as sound as its most breached one. This is the vital-signs review (EQ–02f, read on the vital signs) sized to what three people can gather in an afternoon.
Exit codified in peacetime
Write the exit before anyone needs it: a procedure, a notice clock, a vested stake that travels, and a right to fork under the fork protocol. Rehearse it once, a single black-start drill, so the capacity is tested and not assumed. This is the anti-capture architecture (EQ–06) and the drill (EQ–03e) reduced to the one guarantee that keeps membership voluntary.
What it costs.
The balance sheet makes Lite a derived object rather than a guess. These are the three cheapest load-bearing lines at cooperative scale, read from the priced record behind EQ–02f.
That sits well under the ceiling the framework sets for itself, falsifier F–10's limit of two percent of operating budget and five percent of member work-hours at cooperative scale. The full applicable stack runs closer to fifteen to twenty thousand dollars a year and two to four hours per member per month. Lite is the floor of that curve, priced so that cost is never the reason a group does not start.

How to adopt it in one meeting.
- Read the three mechanisms aloud. Ten minutes, so everyone is deciding on the same thing.
- Fill the brackets together. Name the roles and their end dates, choose your three signs and their bands, and write the exit.
- Set two dates. The first quarterly review, and the one black-start drill.
- Record it in the minutes, and commit publicly to acting on what it says.
- Put the next review on the calendar before you leave. That single recurring date is what keeps Lite alive.
What Lite is not.
Lite is a floor, not the whole framework. It leaves out the anti-capture depth, the commonwealth trust, the reading seat's full machinery, the justice tiers, and the financing of the dignity floor, all of which the Model Charter carries. Three mechanisms run mechanically will not save a group whose culture has already curdled. The sunset becomes a weapon against an inconvenient body, the review becomes a rubber stamp, the exit becomes a threat. The honest residual is that Lite buys the framework's reflexes, not its judgment. It is the smallest real start, and it is meant to be outgrown.
