Aeviterna does not steer toward a single target. It watches a few load-bearing variables and keeps each inside a survivable band. Every dial has its own scale and units, so each is read on its own terms.
On each dial, the colored arc shows that measure's own bands, the ticks show its units, and the needle is the current reading. Read a sign by which colored range its needle points into.

No validated composite of civilizational health exists, so these eight are heterogeneous proxies on different scales and update cycles and cannot be summed into one score. The framework reads each as a band to hold rather than a number to maximize, and the reading that matters is the weakest sign, because a civilization is only as survivable as its most breached vital sign. The thresholds shown are reasoned starting points, firmest for the established measures and more provisional for the younger ones, attention sovereignty, disagreement capacity, and biological resilience.
